Some customers were that concerned our baskets might constrain their plants, so we asked North Carolina State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences researchers to put our baskets to the test. The researchers found that tomato plants grown in our baskets grew 38% more root weight and 18% more fruit weight than tomato plants not grown in our baskets.

The researchers also found that holly bushes grown in our baskets grew 64% more root weight and 36% more top weight than holly bushes not grown in our baskets.

The researchers noted the root weights were “likely falsely larger for the holly bushes grown in the baskets because it was much more difficult to wash off the potting media than it was for those not grown in the baskets.” Nonetheless, they found that our baskets won't constrain your plants.
